![]() ![]() However, I can still scan in documents wirelessly from the Artisan to the iMac, and I can still print off a copy from the printer itself. This is a repeating cycle and I cannot print anything from the iMac. When selected I see "Printer paused", so I Resume. The only prompt I get is the printer icon in dashboard shows a red triangle with a 1 inside it. The iMac does not give me any kind of error message. I have looked on Epson's troubleshooting page and there's nothing that relates to this. I can still print from the MBP to the Artisan 810. When I was prompted to run the update on my MBP I ignored the Epson update. Two of the three were the 10.6.8 update and the Epson driver update. I also have the same issue with not being able to print after the three updates were installed. I hope this issue is resolved in Lion in a few weeks time altho given Epson's past history, I'm not very confident. I am not certain if the last step alone would have been sufficient to get my printer working or if the previous Epson KB steps and Rosetta reinstall played a part. ![]() However as my printer is working again, I don't care!įYI I have read various solutions that were successful for various people. This is a beast of a file at 850MB compressed, containing drivers for ALL of Epson's printers so it does eat up some drive space. I downloaded and installed the previous Epson software update from the apple website and this finally did the trick. It seems like Epson software update 2.7 on the Apple website does not work properly for selected Epson printers. ![]() I then reinstalled Rosetta off my Snow Leopard install disk (which as an aside involved fixing my broken dvd drive!) and again had no joy, even after wiping the print settings, running the gutenprint uninstaller, deleting the drivers and trying to install the printer again using software updater. I first followed this tab=search&bt=4n&s= epson knowledge base article's instructions but had no joy. Apparently some resourceful person out there says it is due to trying to print a pdf generated from word and various other programs and getting rid of this many-headed beast of a problem can be quite tricky. ![]() I had this problem with the RX640 it seems to affect a lot of Espon printers going back a long time, not just the latest update. ![]()
